SCHEDULE AND TUITION

The starting date for any program is generally at the beginning of the week (Monday).
The Florence Art Studio (FAS) is a private, working Studio offering programs of academic training which are unique in that they are divided into discrete and sequentially progressive modules beginning at one week, and lasting as long as a month or more. The ideal program length depends on the student’s objectives and constraints, and may be discussed prior to arrival in Florence.
The student’s time in Florence allows for the reinforcement of Studio training with visits to museums, churches and other important historical sites/locations.
As the Studio is located in the heart of the historic center of Florence, it is easy to walk around during breaks and after instruction hours as well.
Returning students indoctrinated into Studio practice may opt for short, frequent periods of study.
Short periods of study demand that students remain goal oriented and are willing to take on additional assignments.
As a personalized service to continuing students, during intervals away from Florence assignments are made and instructors critique work over the Internet. Students can return to Florence at their own convenience and continue to the next level of study when possible.
The standard day program consists of 15 hours/week of instruction in the Studio, five days a week, Monday through Friday for three hours a day (9am to 12pm), with the remainder of the student’s time spent working in the Studio and suggested activities outside the Studio. The Studio is accessible everyday between 8:30am and 8pm.
